JAMB Finalises Preparations for 2025 UTME Registration with Critical Stakeholders.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has successfully concluded its crucial stakeholder meetings held on Monday, January 27, and Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
These meetings were aimed at finalising preparations for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration, ensuring a seamless and efficient process for millions of candidates across Nigeria.
The first meeting, held on January 27, brought together the Commissioners of Education from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
This gathering focused on fostering collaboration and gathering valuable insights from these key stakeholders.
The Commissioners, who have historically played a significant role in JAMB’s stakeholder engagement, provided feedback and analysis on the features of the upcoming examination cycle.
On January 28, JAMB met with its Chief External Examiners (CEEs), Chief Technical Advisors, and proprietors of Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.
This session was critical as it involved stakeholders directly responsible for the registration and examination processes.
The proprietors of CBT centres, who provide the essential infrastructure for conducting the UTME, were particularly emphasised, ensuring that all technical and operational aspects are in place for a smooth examination experience.
Outcomes of the Meetings
- The meetings reinforced the importance of collaboration between JAMB and its stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are aligned in delivering a successful UTME registration and examination process.
- JAMB outlined the measures it has implemented to streamline the registration process, making it more user-friendly and accessible for candidates.
- Proprietors of CBT centres confirmed their readiness to provide reliable and efficient platforms for the UTME, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates.
- The roles and responsibilities of each stakeholder were clearly defined, ensuring accountability and efficiency throughout the registration and examination processes.
What Candidates Should Expect
With the stakeholder meetings concluded, candidates preparing for the 2025 UTME can expect a well-organised registration process.
JAMB has emphasised the importance of adhering to registration deadlines and ensuring all required documents are ready beforehand.
The Board has also assured candidates of its commitment to maintaining the integrity and credibility of the UTME.
